I grew up in New Jersey and attended Drew University as an undergrad. I graduated college in 1986 and served in the Army until 1989. I then pursued my PhD. at the University of Rochester andI studied at the Hoover Institution at Stanford. I was hired by Troy University (then Troy State University) in 1995 and have taught for them here in North Carolina since then.
